It is education which develops the mind of an individual increases his/her reasoning power and directs him/her to think, act and shape his/her life and career in a suitable manner Shri Guru Ram Rai Public School, Bindal symbolizes the fulfilment of this aim of education. It provides appropriate opportunities to the students to develop their sports cultural, fine arts and other skills. Academics are always given th e top priority in a school. It is aptly said in the old Testament : "Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old he will not depart from it."

ACADEMICS:
The result of Class X and XII has been very good. All the students of class X have passed with good CGPA Swati Joshi is credited with CGPA 10 along with Shambhavi Ramola, Akshay Pandey and Atul Pandey; 394 students appeared in Class XII Science, Commerce and Humanities. The result has been upto the mark. Diksha Giri (Sci.), Shivam Oberoi (Com.) and Shivani Sahotra (Humanities) were the toppers in their specific streams. Other outstanding performances were of Ayushi Joshi, Mamta Rawat, Anjali Negi, Deepti Negi in Science stream, Tanya Masson and Arshi Rani in Commerce, Pankaj Singwal and Surya Maurya in Humanities.

SPORTS:
Students of the Primary section displayed various sports as races, jumping, kho-kho and other games in a very lively manner. In the Junior Section various athletics, football and cricket matches were organised on the Sports day. Talented students displayed their sports skill and rest of the students enjoyed their performances Shri Guru Ram Rai Public School, Bindal (Senior Section) organised the inter school Hand Ball Match for girls and boys and Basket Ball match along with the Table Tennis match for the boys. Students learn and practiced various sports skills in the lush green surroundings of the school throughout the year under the guidance of our able sports instructors, Mr Ratan Singh Negi and Mr Amit Payal.

ACHIEVEMENTS IN SAHODAYA ACTIVITIES:
Under Sahodaya Complex, various Inter-school cultural and sports activities were organised in the various public schools of Shri Guru Ram Rai Education Mission. Participants of Shri Guru Ram Rai Public School, Bindal secured First position in the Hindi Essay Writing Competition (Senior) and also in the Hindi Debate (Junior). Boys of the Senior Section lifted the trophy of First Position in the Inter school Hand Ball Match and made all of us proud of them. In the newly introduced Inter-school activity-DRAMATICS-the first prize was also bagged by our school. Boys of Senior team secured First position in the Inter-school Football Tournament and Junior' team secured Second position in the Football match.

INTER HOUSE ACTIVITIES:
Various Inter-house activities were organised in the academic session of 2012-2013. Students of our four houses NALANDA (Mrs Ekta Nautiyal), KASHI (Mr Vijay Tomar), SANCHI (Mr Tarun Dobhal) and TAXILA (Mrs Poonam Rastogi) each wanted to place their houses on the top position in their respective houses, in the Inter-house Debate, Hindi and English Writing, Essay Writing, Painting, Kavita Path Pratiyogita, Kite Making, Pot Decoration, Greeting Card Making and Mask Making Competition. A written General Knowledge test and Hkkjrh; Kku laLd`fr ijh{kk was also organised at Inter- house level by our cultural co-ordinator Dr Kshama Kaushik. These Inter-house activities were organised to promote public speaking oration and confidence among the students.

OTHER IMPORTANT ACTIVITIES:
Students of Class XI (Science) attended a Counseling Seminar at Hathi Barkala Autitorium organised by VIT. It made them aware about the future prospects for the students of Science stream. Eminent persons like Mr V A Baurai, Principal SGRR (PG) College and many more delivered their lectures during this seminar. Our students also participated in GK Test and Hindi Essay Writing Competition on the occasion of the Science Day at Wadia Institute.

INSPIRE PROGRAMME:
Eight meritorious students of Science stream participated in the Science Seminar INSPIRE organised by HNB Garhwal University at Srinagar in December 2012. Eight students of class XI and XII who scored CGP 10 in Class X were benefitted by the this Science Seminar. Nitesh Bisht of class XII Sci A secured First position and was awarded a cash prize of ` 1000/-. Important scientists of BARC and other well-known institutions made students aware of the rare facts of universe, earth, energy resources, atmosphere and prospects of Science in their future career.

EXCURSION:
Students of Humanitarian stream were taken to an excursion tour by the Geography teacher, Mrs Raksha Dangwal on 6th December 2012 to village Sorna in Dolero. They went there for agricultural land use survey and learnt cropping patterns, cropping intensity, use of technology in agriculture, animal husbandry and land use pattern.

Thus year 2012-2013 had been another milestone in the records of Shri Guru Ram Rai Public School, Bindal. Collective efforts of staff, teachers and students contributed greatly to the progress of the school. Whatever we have achieved could never have been achieved without the support of honourable Shri Maharaj ji whose directives and innovative ideas proved to be a boon for the entire Shri Guru Ram Rai Education Mission.
